VASPA is the Virtual Asset Service Providers Association, a platform uniting virtual asset stakeholders in Africa to promote trust, innovation, and collaboration in the industry.
A VASPA Working Paper is a research or policy document developed by members, committees, or collaborators to advance understanding of virtual asset regulation, innovation, and adoption across Africa. These papers aim to inform policy discussions, support advocacy efforts, and provide practical insights for industry participants and regulators.
Working Papers are primarily written by members of VASPA committees, research fellows, and partner institutions. However, contributions from external experts, academics, and industry practitioners may be invited where their expertise aligns with the paper’s focus.
Topics are proposed by VASPA committees or members based on emerging regulatory, technological, or market developments in the African virtual asset ecosystem. Each topic is reviewed and approved by the Secretariat to ensure relevance and alignment with VASPA’s strategic objectives.
VASPA Working Papers undergo internal review by subject-matter experts and committee leads. They represent informed opinions and analysis from professionals within the ecosystem but are not official regulatory documents or government-endorsed publications.
Excerpts and summaries of Working Papers are publicly available on this page for general reference. However, full copies are accessible exclusively to registered VASPA members. Each paper includes a recommended citation format for academic and professional use. To gain full access, you can become a VASPA member by completing the membership application on our website. Once approved, members receive access to the full archive of Working Papers and other member-only resources. For inquiries, contact membership@vaspa.org
