To make Africa the most business-friendly and trusted market in the global virtual assets industry

Africa’s virtual asset industry is still very much in its infancy stage (at least relatively). And while we are not where we used to be, I believe the potential for growth and development is huge. We can do a lot better, together.
This is why the vision of the Virtual Asset Service Providers Association (VASPA) inspires me. A new all-Africa focused advocacy group, VASPA wants “to make Africa the most business-friendly and trusted market in the global virtual assets industry”.
Also, I believe VASPA’s mission to catalyze Africa’s virtual asset industry by promoting safe, innovative, and inclusive practices is a crucial step towards unlocking the continent’s economic potential. I will work with the Steering Team and other stakeholders to help bridge the gap between the natives and the traditional players.
We will also try to break the common barriers that hinder African markets from working together to address common challenges. We can create a vibrant ecosystem that fosters collaboration, innovation, and growth.

An Inclusive Steering Team

In the coming weeks, I will be working closely with the rest of the members of the Steering Team to expand VASPA’s reach across Africa. First, we are including representatives from across Africa, ensuring that our leadership reflects the diversity of the continent. This expansion will enable us to tap into the expertise and perspectives of industry stakeholders from various regions, further strengthening our advocacy efforts.

If you believe you have what it takes to represent your region in Africa, don’t hesitate to reach out. Also, we are open to collaborating with existing local associations. A link to VASPA’s first X Space talk is shared here https://x.com/i/spaces/1mnGegXDrOrxX

Expanding our Reach

We invite both crypto/blockchain natives and traditional players to become members of VASPA, taking advantage of our one-year free membership offer. This is an excellent opportunity for both individuals and organizations to engage with our growing community, contribute to our mission, and benefit from our advocacy efforts.

A Bright Future for Africa’s Virtual Asset Industry

It’s a privilege to serve as the Executive Chair of VASPA. I am confident that VASPA will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Africa’s virtual asset industry. With the support of our members, partners, and stakeholders, we can create a thriving ecosystem that promotes innovation, inclusion, and growth.

I look forward to working with our team and the broader industry, including policymakers and regulators, to make a lasting impact on the African continent.
